We are in Hong Kong! After a 12 hour flight, we have safely arrived in Hong Kong, pretty tired and worn out. For those of you who are curious we are now 14 hours ahead of Texas time; put that on a post it note to remind yourself. Unfortunately on the flight there was no turkey, stuffing, or green bean cassorole like Kim and I had prayed for.
After we arrived, we broke up into 2 groups. 6 of the team left to go paint a girl's dormatory for the drug rehabilitation ministry we are working with. I am with the remaining 10. We are staying at a facility that is really nice (for our standard of living). It's sort of like a Hong Kongese TBarM. They do team building and also have a ropes course. All I have to do is teach them gnip gnop, and we are set!
While staying here, our major responsibility is really with a ministry 5 minutes walk up the road at the men's drug rehabilitation center. The job our team has been given is "night watchmen." 2 of us every night will sit the night shift at the main gate. Tonight we are learning more about what we might be doing such as praying with/for the men in the center. We only really have 4 days in Hong Kong, but I'm excited to see what they bring. Love you all and thanks for the prayers!
