After two weeks in China......

So Here we are at last yellow team alone just what we wanted, we are in a Hotel in some town east of Lanzhou and it is a really exciting and dodgy town that we are in.

The past 2 weeks we have been traveling as a big group together to get to our destinations in China to work as individual small groups each in a separate town, due to the Tibet and China riot we couldn't reach our destinations, so we had to make other plans, so then we prayed for the towns that He wants us to go to, and asked Him to take us somewhere where He wants us and not somewhere we want to go. Like you know me I kept looking at the adverts on the coke signs and bottles about Beijing and the Olympics, and I started saying it might be a sign for the yellow team, but that was just Tjaart's desire. hehehe.

We stayed in a Town called Luijiaxia close to the yellow river for a few nights, there we really had an awesome time the Lord really used the Yellow team there. We met two friends and they were just so interested, me,Wesley,Paul and Tiaan even went for a soccer game with them, now that was a Blessing for us we really enjoyed it even though they beaded us 7-0 at first that was also ok, after we got some help from our fellow mates that joined later on, we got back in the game. They even snuck out of school to come and greet us, and gave us gifts. We also met another young Lady that we passed every day, if we would walk to the market and she always greeted us and smiled at us, so we decided to stop for a chat and what a blessing she was, just to speak to someone in English is a blessing already. There was another teacher that Zylna and Jana met when they went for a walk and she came to visit later on. The one day me and Wesley went for some exploring and we were walking past all these local shacks and we both just wished that one of them could invite u in for a coffee to experience their lifestyle, but we weren't really expecting something, it was really one of those things that you just boldly say without expecting that you will get it. So on our way back to our Hotel?this one old lady just invited us in from the street; she was actually a mielie farmer, she then gave us some of the famous China green tea that you sometimes swallow the leaves while taking a sip, then she offered us some bread/pancake/vetkoek type of things, it was actually really nice. The only bad thing is for the two hours that we were visiting her we couldn't even communicate one word. So ons het maar net vir haar 2 ure in Afrikaans gebid.

So ja after 2 weeks of travelling in China we finally reached our destination as yellow team where we are going to start as a small team alone. At the moment we are still getting to know our new team mate Margot, she is an interesting character we liked her from the moment we met her, she fitted like a missing puzzle piece into our team (The puzzle). She is a little bit sick at the moment so please pray for her, but she is already feeling tons better.
The town that we are staying at the moment is actually pretty sad because there is a lot of prostitution taking place here even next door in our little hotel, there are also a lot of hotels in this town, due to the prostitution, and so cheap rooms are available.

As you know we are called Global Challenge X (and the lonely X does mean something). So jip we are staying in a dodgy hotel we are actually paying R10 a night to stay here. But it is so awesome because here we have so many things that we can pray for, and interceding is our only tool at the moment here, so we are praying 24/7. It is pretty frustrating because you always want to do something or serve someone physically, and now the only way that we can serve is prayer, but I am happy with doing just this at the moment cause I know that it is God's will for us, and I will rather do his will than any of our dead works.

Please keep on supporting us with your prayers it is working really awesomely, our group has been blessed several times, with the whole story at the border was just a miracle, and that we get places to stay 1am at night, and finances is coming in but we are still short there so please pray for that, and please don't stop it is really working we can really testify of a lot of the prayers that is answered already. Hallelujah- Die Here is wonderlik, wat n voorreg om hom te dien!!!

Love
Tjaart
