-What a disaster! Or to state it rather in a more positive light, what a leap of faith!
Landing in Israel on a Saturday morning without any public transportation and with all the supermarkets closed, wasn’t a breeze. We caught cars to take us up to Tiberias at the Sea of Galilee and arrived in groups of 2's and 3's at the McDonald’s which was also closed to our disappointment. After a few hours of chasing after the wind to find a place to sleep (camp) we ended up taking a taxi to the southern part of the sea and being dropped off beside the road in darkness. Like sheep without a shepherd we wandered around looking for the promised camping site. We decided to put up our tents on a flat gravel surface and to our surprise when we woke up the next morning, we were camping in the parking lot outside of a caravan park! At least everyone was able to refresh their bodies in a sweet, cold shower beside the Sea of Galilee on the morning that Jesus was risen 2000 years ago.
Resurrection Sunday has awakened something in my heart that morning -a thankfulness, not only for being able to shower, but to rejoice in your current position, for God has a journey and a specific plan for you which includes being on a specific time at a specific place for his glory.
