The greatest privilege

It is such a privilege to travel around the world, encouraging the existing church and to share with people who have never before heard of our Saviour Jesus Christ.

During our time in Kathmandu (Nepal), I realised that the world is really in need of God. There is so much idolatry happening everywhere. What made me happy was the thought of bringing the Good News to people who is actually hearing it for the first time in their lives! The sad reality is that they would like to follow our God but due to community oppression, they resist. If they decide to become Christians, they are immediately thrown out of their village and written of by family and friends so it is really incredibly hard for them. In some cases they are killed by that village.

We met a lady who has been a missionary in Nepal for the past 40 years! The stories she shared with us was beyond amazing! Some include how she prayed for a dead boy and he rose again, how she had a heart attack and her family prayed for her (after she had been dead for 5 hours) and then she came back to life, how she was paralyzed at a time after an accident and how the Lord came and healed her completely and so it goes on! We have been encouraged so much by everyone's stories here!

The following question arise: How much is God worth to us? People here are willing to lay down their lives for Him. Some get killed because of acknowledging Him. They struggle to live because of all the oppression and complete rejection from family. They are willing to pay the price to follow our amazing God. Are we so devoted to our God? How committed are we?

We came to India on 20 March. So far it has been great! We are still busy with module 2 of Veritas and we are learning so much every day!

Last thought: If you are a Christian and you have a relationship with the living God, how much time do you spend with Him every day? How good do you know your God? Or how good do you think you know your God? If you know Him, do you trust Him as your God? Trusting in all areas of your life? Trusting that He will provide in your daily lifestyle, health, finances, etc?

Check your heart again.
