Prayer changes things....

The time in turkey for me was AMAZING ( and no it is not controrary on my last blog, it is because of that and because of what God has done through that that even though it was difficult it was still a GREAT TIMEA)

I got confronted with so many things and so many ways that we live our life in South Africa, and God really came and revealed to me what it really means to Give up everything to Serve him, i met people that lost their jobs, their families, their friends, their whole life just because they serve our God, and even through all this they seem to be the happiest and most joyfull persons i have ever met in my life.  This blog is about a guy like that and how just came and answered my small prayer...

After church on sunday we were busy hanging around,  drinking chai with the congregation and just chatting to them and everything.  I sat and talk to the pastor and with another guy that was in the service when the next minute the pastor tells me that this guy has been a christian for a few months and he has just lost his job because of that.  My first reaction when i looked at him was how can he be so calm and relaxed and not worry about it, he just sat there looking happy and not at all worried about this seemingly MAJOR thing that happened to him the day before, my next instinct was to start and make sums and stuff in my mind and see if i were able to maybe help him out with some money to support his family untill he finds a new work and are able to support them on his own.  Well i asked the pastor if we can pray for him and he agreed so we sat there in the church praying for the guy, i knew that God can and would answer our prayer and thought that maybe he will get a new job next week or in a month or so, but untill then i was willing to help him in any way that i can.

Well when the pastor came and greeted us before we left he told us that the guy got his job back the next day and that he is going back there and can continue to work for the family even though they all know he is Christian now and they know that he shares his faith with the workers at the business.  I was just sitting there and couldnt belive my ears that this guy got his job back and was allowed to come back by his Muslim family only 1 day after we had prayed for him!!!  then something that i read came to my mind...

"And my feeble, whispered, faithless prayer invokes a thunderous, resounding, bone-shaking great AMEN from countless angels, from heroes of the faith, from christ himself" and i realised that we limit God so much in what we are praying and thinking, but luckily he is so faithfull and even those prayers that we think will be answered eventually he just goes and answers them RIGHT away sometimes!!!

So i want to encourage you that next time something happens, to just pray that God will show you the way out and that he will guide you and lead you, because He will do it!!!And in this just know that prayer really changes things!!!!
