And we’re back!

There is a buzz of excitement in the camp as everyone is once again reunited after the Luke 10 journeys.  Please note that we won’t be giving much feedback on the journeys now, but extensive feedback-blogs will follow in the days to come.
Everyone is on such a spiritual high after experiencing God 1st hand for more than a week.  Not that we do not experience Him during other times, but as you can imagine, relying on God for everything you need takes a huge amount of faith and it keeps on growing.  Those of you who have experienced a Luke 10 know what I am talking about.

We have been sharing stories and experiences for the past 2 days, non-stop.  It is great to give glory to God by sharing how mighty He is to save and very uplifting to listen to others’ stories of God’s provision and protection.  It also gives much pleasure to share the miracles we witnessed and talk about the wonderful people God sent across our paths to care for us.  Also the impact we could make on their lives.

We found that, within the spirit of Global Challenge, the journeys may have changed us more than those who we tried to share the Gospel to.  The life lessons that were learned, the people skills gained and the new found faith in the living only God are but a few areas that were touched.  All of us can say that we are changed men.

Yesterday we had to travel to the Malaysian border to get our passports stamped again.  Our Thai visas were only valid for 14 days, so we needed to be out of the country before the 20th.  This was a fun outing for the team and we found it amusing jumping borders like that.  Not something you do every day.

Today is Freddy’s birthday and we celebrated by eating Welman’s legendary flap jacks for breakfast.  After corporate prayer we prayed and blessed Freddy.  What a privilege to pray for a friend and brother in Christ.  We also used today to pray into the rest of our time here in Thailand and also our upcoming time in Australia.
God guided us in prayer and we came up with an awesome idea.  Seeing that we were blessed so much by others when we had nothing, we thought that we wanted to bless other in the same way.  We are thus going to ask God to guide us to people who need provision and God’s word, so we can bless them with accommodation, food and whatever else they might need.  A true challenge for our obedience, humility and selfish behavior.  Keep a look out for that one.

The flap jacks kept us for the day, so no exotic foods today and seeing that it is raining, no kiddies either.  Maybe tomorrow.
Keep  on reading and keep on supporting our cause.  Pledge on the GCEX website by clicking here.

God Bless
