It has been a while...

At long last I am also writing something.  Were to begin?

We have traveled through the Middle East wıth mixed feelings. Egypt was a spiritual journey - one of realising how dark the world could be. The difference between Cairo and Anaphora-in the spirıtual world-was so tangible,it was frightning.

In Dahab we had a good time ın teachings, but also  swimming in the Red Sea and searchıng for Nemo. Did I mentioned the 11th plague that ıs still ın Egypt? FLIES!!!!! oh and for extra measure- cats and even more cats!!!!

In Israel everything changed yet again-except for the fact that we,GCEX,managed to evacuate the border post with  powder paint we brought for the school, everythıng else were fine. The Northbound girls were travelıng on their own, because the guys tried to enter Israel through the Jordan border post and by doing that only get their entry and exit stamps on a piece of paper.  Well it was succesful, but Syrıa did not pan out.(for those who does not know, you cannot enter Syria if the even suspect that you have been to Israel. )

Israel was good and bad. I loved Bethlehem and the people there. We helped  two nuns to excavate their monastry- ıt was a stone throw from the Church of Nativity.  We also spend lovely time with Evelyn. About the Israel situation I just want to comment- everything ıs not always as it seems and we as individuals need to scrutinize everything we see on the news and read.

Because of funds, the guys did not try to dash for the Syrian border (only Marcel and Johan went-they could not get through because they did not bribe the official or lie to him) and we were blessed with a last week in Egypt at Anaphora. We really sought Gods face and there were breakthroughs in some teammembers lifes.

Now we are in Kuşudasi, Turkey and we really feel led to pray for the country and especially this town. Please pray with us that this country, that once was the cradle of the fırst church, will be reclaimed for God. The people are hungry- we need to interceed like never before.

About the photos,we will try our best- our computer is busted at the moment and all the photos is on there. But please don't despair- we will get our behinds in gear!
