Our time in Guatemala was a month, but it felt like a week. With us being so busy with so many different things. A team from South Africa visit us for 2 weeks and it was good to have some goodies from home. Our daily program was team devotions in the mornings, then of to work and then end the day with teaching till midnight. The physical labour was a lot of fun and I obviously learned a lot, but that is not the only thing I will take with me. The teachings and the truth revealed is what I...

I dont know if I still have the right to write on this blog, but I surely would love to share my short story. In January when I started global challenge, I realised how little I know God. I got so afraid, and started to fear seeing myself clearly. Incompetent, not spiritual enough, and ugly. In order to protect myself I decided to find fault with my fellow brothers and sisters.....and the whole system I found myself in. I decided that suffering is unnecessary, that everything was just peer pressure. I decided that Im wasting my time and money. That...
An envoy for the King! Proverbs 13:17 “ A wicked messenger falls into adversity, but a faithful envoy brings healing.” This scripture was prophesied over me before leaving for a mission trip to Brazil in December 2011. An envoy is an entrusted messenger covered by both the protection and the authority of the King as it was the King’s message that he would be carrying and therefore, would be regarded as the King himself. The message that our King had entrusted us with to Brazil was a message of power, a message of life and a message of truth that...
The last 2 weeks have been overflowing with fun. Many hours have been gladly sacrificed to paint and work for God’s kingdom. Numerous moments made perfect with laughter and joy. We went to the Transkei ; we saw beautiful sights ;and we conquered a lot of ground for in and in the name of Jesus Christ
“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God!” – 1 John 3:1a. In my primary, as well as high school, we had to study the general needs of people in Life Orientation. We would be presented two columns, on the one side the heading would read “Needs”, and the other column would read “Wants”. So every year the teacher would draw the two columns on the black board, and we would put up our hands to help her fill in each column. I guess I remember this tradition so...
I cannot believe the time is already so near for us to get going! I was reading the other day in Matt 21:22! WoW! "If you believe, you wil receive everything that you ask in prayer." Makes me think... We should then be very careful about what we ask, and also very specific! Imagine, I ask for God to help me to be the change in the world. Then when He says go, I can't ask "Why?"... But be more specific about where and how and the 'when' is just as important. So come on guys, have a relationship with...
During the last days in Peru, we were in a town named Ferrenafe. Because I was very sick, I had to separate from the group. Part of us went back to Ferrenafe, while the rest of the group stayed in the mountains a few days more. This time was very hard for me. I really wanted to stay with the group. It was very difficult to live in the realization that I did not have the strength to hike through the mountains and because of this, many lies started coming into my mind. During the second day there, I spoke...
When we first arrived in the town called Incahuasi in the Andes mountains of Peru, I had a big struggle to breathe and walk due to the altitude. I felt like I was tired all the time and I found myself wanting to separate from the group, but I didn’t understand why this was happening inside of me. Another part of the struggle was due to southbound joining in work with another group of South African people. Because of this, there were a whole lot of people speaking another language that I could not understand. All these things together were...
When we arrived in Peru, we did not have any information about what we would be doing while we were there. There was a lot of change. We could not even imagine what we would be doing the next day. Each day was a surprise. The Pastor that we were working with had organized that we would distribute Bibles and present dramas in schools. The first day we did a drama and gave the Bibles out to the children. But sometimes, we did not have the opportunity to do a drama and share the gospel, we were only able to...
