Hey everyone
We are currently in Morocco and I must admit that it is awesome. The people here are great and the weather cannot be better.
Our first few days were spent in Fes, right inside the old city. We stayed at some of the South Africans living there and got to see such a lot of the place. One of the workers in Fes took us prayer walking on Friday and in the process we were invited by some of the locals for Sunday lunch.
Sunday lunch was one of the most memorable lunches ever. Not understanding a word of what our hosts are saying and feeling very awkward at first. The meal took some time to prepare and took finally took place with a lot of laughter, both from us and from our hosts. It was also the first time I had Moroccan mint tea, and from now on it will be on my list of favorites.
We also spent some time with the youth group in Fes, they are awesome. Extremely passionate about their beliefs and willing to do what is necessary in order to spread the gospel. I take my hat of to them.
So we arrived in Casablanca on Monday, yesterday, and we are being hosted by some wonderful South Africans and having a great time. We will also be meeting with the local youth group and spending some time with them as well, telling them of our journey and our own passions.
Some prayer requests. Please pray for our team's health. Some of us have colds and others are having trouble adapting to the local food. We will also be applying for our visas for Mauritania and do not know the exact requirements.
Love from Morocco
