India Invading us!

Its difficult to describe everything you see and experience when everything you experience is new to you!

Coming into India you are bombarded by a serious sensory overload! I’m still trying to figure out what some of the smells were. I was pleasantly surprised that being so far away from home didn’t feel as alien as I thought it would. Gravity was still pulling, the wind was still blowing and people were still living living their lives all around you.

Mission: Transkei

Back in Jeffrey’s Bay it seems like have been away for at least a month! Reality is that it was only two weeks, but looking back at everything that I experienced, all the ways I have grown and how God has changed my heart, time must have stood still at some point!

First Blog and Loving it!

Global Challenge Update! So I eventually got to an Internet Cafe so here we go! Did survivor in the bush, competing for food (rice and bread) and eating it with sticks, building shelter without tools, making fire from left over coals, wearing the same clothes for 4 days, sleeping cold in the dirt, all in the name of team building. Challenging but lots of fun! After 3 days of training sessions an challenging practicals we were off to do a camp with some Gr. 8's for 3 days and then straight from there a high school camp for another 2...

Thailand!

Gotta love technology, I cannot upload my pictures, anyway, here it is! With India still fresh in our memories the Northbound team arrived in Bankok, Thailand. The contrast was unmistakable. Coming from a place where the street is used as a bathroom and to this clean place where the suffucientcy of the , there is a Seven Eleven around every corner and the trafic lights have a countdown timer! We spent two days de-briefing our India experience and had some time off just to rest and to get ready for our next ministry point. Out team split into two groups,...
