The Kidz ! Thank you for those who helped us in the past to provide clothing and training for the children in my area. This sport-ministry has taken off again on a high note here in Phuket, and we are excited about it. Children have grown out of old shoes and clothes, and we need to provide again. We will try to support them again with funds for training, clothing and competition fees. And if we are lucky, we can even sponsor a prize here an there, opening children's hearts to a good lifestyle and Christ ! You are welcome...

Running in Phuket, Thailand has and still is a big challenge to me. Heat and humidity is not your friend during marathons. It doesn’t matter if it’s 6 in the morning or later during the day; 29 degrees Celsius and humidity over 90% will makes things tough. But still, sport is practiced more and more here in Phuket and it is good to see young children taking part in this. In Phuket Thailand I can see the monthly growth in sport. All kinds of sport is picking up, and aspecially running and cycling.   Part of my ministry here in Thailand is sport. I am working together with the organizer of a running club, which involves children from 5 to 70 years old ! Training every day and competing almost once a week. Up to now I was able to help with transporting athletes and sponsoring some running shoes to children who needed it. This ministry is very good in helping children to get involve in sport, fitness and competing....

It's just around the corner....it is here....very close......yea ! I entered the Phuket Laguna International Marathon that will take place in June this year. During the entry you have to give your date of birth. So they send me my application confirmation which includes the following detail : Age Group : 40 - 49 years So there it is. It's now just around the corner. 40 . Soon I will be 40 ............AND RUN LIKE NEVER BEFORE  !!!

                  Our Thailand Sport Ministry takes place in Phuket. We have many children runners who are currently doing very well in athletics. During December and early January we were so blessed to receive a donation to take care of most of the children's running shoes. We were able to buy 14 pairs of shoes. It was donated by a head of school, where the GCEX teams served in the past here in Phuket, Thailand. Dear friends, One of the most valuable things I have learned from GCEX, is the meaning and understanding of discipleship. We are currently sharing food with non-believers as a way of discipleship. We have shown and shared the love and care of Jesus Christ by opening our home to people, and giving food or help to those in need. We also shared our hope and trust in the Lord, and we witnessed how people are brought one step closer to Jesus. We call it……DISCIPLESHIP.
