Coincidence? Never! (Hong Kong)

Is anything in life ever a coincidence?  I don't believe it, and after the first 4 days of the Tri Nations Asia Expidition, I know God is in control and He makes every appointment divine!

Our journey started at Alabanza the 26th of June.  It was the first short term missions conference and what a conference!  I met my team members and immediatly I knew this group wasn't ordanary and that this mission isn't going to be ordanary.  It isn't coincedence that God has chosen the spicific 8 members.

We departed from South Africa on the 28th of June to Hong Kong.  Francois, the leader said it wasn't in the planned route to go to Hong Kong at first, but again, God had planned the route and it was not without purpose that we had to travel through Hong Kong!

1 Cor 12 we read about the differences of ministries through the Spirit and the unity and diversity in One body.  If you start counting, you will find eight spiritual gifts and eight member parts of the church.  Coincedence that we are eight in the team??  God is so good and the Spirit worked in the team and on our first morning in Hong Kong, one of our team members were baptized with the Holy Spirit!  Divine!

Another divine moment in Hong Kong was when we traveled up to the peak - highest point in Hong Kong where you look over at the whole city.  Beautiful!  We then started praying over the city and I know we are small and it feels like what can I do, but I know God is real and He will set the captives free!

Now, the best part of Hong Kong was the Doulos.  The Doulos is a missionary ship from OM.  I've never heard of it before, so to me it was one of the most amazing kind of way to do missionary work around the world!  When we arrived at the ship, we saw we had to pay go on board.  I knew our budget at that moment was realy tight as we packed our lunch that consisted out of oats cookies and bananas in our bags...  So we desided to only speak to the people at the entrance.  It so happens that the guy we are talking to are the manager!  Coincedence?  He took us aboard and we met more South African people.  On the boat thera are about 300 crew members.  We also met a girl, Mieke, who is a South African who was on the ship for 2 years.  She is studying in Pretoria at the moment and only went back to vissit Walker her boyfriend who happens to be the manager and our "tour guide"!   Coincedence?  They showed us around and invited us for lunch!  It was so nice. Everything of the ship had captured me!  Walker took me to the little school at the back of the ship!  It was amazing.  They have 'n playground and swings and everything...  Coincedence that I had to see the school and that it touched my heart?  I realy don't know the answer to this one!!
