The last month we were shaped and formed from young people moving in all different directions into a young family united in love and fired up for the mission. We learned what our personalities are and how we can support the body so that it functions properly. All this thanks to the great leadership of Global Challenge allowing God to lead them.
Two weeks ago at 5 o'clock we were woken up and had to pack up all our belongings. We were then divided into groups and given a paper with about 20 challenges on them. We all spattered into different directions and over the next 2 days we traveled about 100 km and hitch-hiked about 10 times. We walked and ran through malls, soccer and cricket stadiums, farms, airports and rode horses and used canoes to cross rivers in order to complete all our challenges. After two days we finally finished and we were exhausted. This was followed by a suvivor challenge that lasted 4 days where we had to compete in games for our food. We were so greatful for anything we got from bread to matabela pap. After this we were physically and emotionally drained but in the process we learned a lot of endurance and how to work together as a team. What great preparation for this year that will not always be comfortable and easy.
Last week we united with most of the youth ministry groups of South Africa like 13th Floor, Pneumatics, Lxp, Mxp and also a ministry group from Namibia. We had many great guest speakers from Scotland and from the USA. We were enlightened and prepared on how to use the gifts of the Spirit like prophecy and healing etc. After all the prophecies and encouragement we are so fired up and eager to start ministering this year.
Our flight has been extended to Thursday the 4th of March because our leaders Dawid and Dunette's (Our leaders) Mother were in an accident. Please pray for them, for their mother and the rest of their family. We are also having trouble with our Japanese and Russian visas. Please pray for favor at the embassies.
Thank you so much for your support and I will blog again as soon as possible. May the peace of God be with you!
