To the golden shore

Today I was very privileged to finish the book I was reading while serving somewhere in China. The book is called "To the golden shore" and is the biography of Adoniram Judson, the first missionary that was ever send out by America. I am truly humbled by the life of this man. He left his family never to see them again, he buried 2 wives and 3 children. He was imprisoned for almost 2 years and it took 6 years before the first Burmese person  accepted Christ. He spend almost 50 years away from home and gave up everything to serve Christ. I then look at my own life where it is hard to give up one year.
