When is a war won? When do you call a country concurred?
Jesus taught His disciples to pray “Let Your Kingdom come” . And yet He also said that the Kingdom of God is at hand. Contradictory…..? Not at all!
A country is concurred when the capital is occupied and a new government is set in place. There may be towns and people that do not accept this new state and oppose it, but the fact remains that a new ruler now rules.
In ancient times the new king would send messengers to these remote towns to declare that a new kingdom is at hand. Until all the Kingdom would submit and follow the king.
On the cross the last battle was won. As the song goes: ”The enemy has been defeated…..” Death has no more hold on us!!!! A new King is in town. It is not a Kingdom with earthly borders but a kingdom birthed in the heart and spirits of all believers. And we are heralding in this kingdom to the millions upon millions that needs to hear. And this Kingdom will be fulfilled when Christ returns. All things subjected to His throne where He will reign over all and in all.
This kingdom is like no other, it is eternal. Do not be unsure, this kingdom cannot be usurped. Jesus sits on the throne never to be removed. And He rules with mercy and justice.
He is the rider on the white horse; His is called Faithfull and True. “He is dressed in a robe dripped in blood and His name is the Word of God!”(Rev19:13)
This Kingdom looks so different than the kingdoms that we see. Jesus says:
“Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven”(Mat5:3)
The Gospel is the message of this King and His Kingdom. Arise for this message has been given to us to tell the world.
To Declare His Name: King of kings and Lord of Lords!
