A small Canadian girl who wanted to become a dolphin psychologist was one of my friends this weekend. She loves animals and loved to pet the snake we cought. Her dad is the man in charge of the camp site where we are working. We currently revamping a summer camp next to a lake. We are repacking storage rooms and unloaded a truck full of donations of chairs and equipment that a church gave the camp site. We have learned that hard work is not always lifting heavy things but sometimes just plain scraping a wall before painting it. It just is not as much fun as moving big things but lots can be learned. I asked God to learn me something or show me something that can make me understand Him more. This is what He reviled to me:
The old paint is your lives works. Some is good and some is bad. God is the Human that uses the scraper to get rid of the bad things in your life. The Scraper is the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the wall a.k.a the rock. Everything that is not attached to Jesus gets scrapped of. The idea of the hole proses is to newly paint the wall, in other words to make you holy. The pieces of paint that is on the floor is like your sin. When God forgives you, He sweeps it away and throw it into the trash and forget about it.
In the room where we scrapped was ice hockey sticks, this is the temptations, if you fall under temptation the proses of making you holy stops.
God's blessing is still upon us and I don't think it will ever leave. It is fun working here and chatting with the family. It is also fun to play ice hockey on the floor. It is so much fun I could not stop
smiling for 15min after a mini game before dinner.
