Off to India!!

Well the last 8 weeks have been the most testing and most exciting of my life!
I have seen and done things that I still can't believe!  Eating chicken feet and sleeping in standard bank ATM room are probably the low light but the same 24hrs seeing provison of steers burger and hitchiking home (j-bay) were definately in the highlights.....what was it all for....preparation to head into the nations!

Northbound team are leaving south africa on Monday 5th March heading to India! There are 13 of us so excitied to be meeting back up again at the airport to start our adventure.  10 south africans, 1 Portugese, 1 Botswanan and me the token brit! My Afrikaans is getting better...ish!  My team are amazing and we havemade such great friendships over the 8 week training.

When we get to india we will have a few days in New Dheli then off the orphanage. We will be staying and ministering at the orphanage where 500 children stay, aged between 5-15 years. As most of you know acting and drama are not my strong points but never the less I will be putting in an oscar performance for the dramas and performances for the kids every day.  We will running the evening programme with singing, dancing, acting and preaching.
The previous years teams have already been and built relationships with these children so i am so excited to be going to build on relationships they have already formed!
Whilst there we will also be helping them renovate and decorate their church building.
i will also have a dorm room of children to spend time with and laugh with.
These children are so excited for our arrival as we have a tradition of blessing them with new clothes and a chicken dinner as this is the only time during the year they have the oportunity to eat chicken.

Help us bless them by financially sponsoring this project.
Between the team we need to raise R 13,000 £1,300 for materials for redecoration of church, clothing for children and the chicken to feed 500 children. We are on our way but every pound counts.

Well more updates once i have arrived!
Thanks for all you support and prayers
Love Hannah
