These past few weeks, have been a crazy adventure!
We started off running!
In Sao Paulo we were divided into small teams to go live with families in different parts of the city. We served at different churches and only met up as a big group a week later.
So, in my week, Luisa, Charlotte and I stayed more in the backside of Sao Paulo. It was quite an experience! But what a blessed time! The family we stayed with, had so much brokenness but were still so full of joy!
The pastor of the church took us to different houses to pray for people. As we prayed for someone in their house it was as if something exploded. So when we would open our eyes there were just more and more people around us. And it seemed quite impossible for more people to fit into a house as big as my bedroom at home, but somehow it was possible.
People were following us as we walked in the streets.. It almost got annoying sometimes, because we were never alone, and we had very little rest. But that's when the Holy Spirit blew my mind with 1 phrase: "Imagine what it was like to be Jesus.."
I realized in that time how hungry people are for a word of encouragement or something prophetic from God. Just to hear the Truth for the first time in their lives, or just be reminded of what God has in store for them.
I was amazed by how people responded to the Holy Spirit and also how the Holy Spirit manifests differently in different people..
God humbled me a lot in these days and He has been journeying with me about what it really means to lay down your life to follow Jesus and just how big a privilege it is to be chosen to walk in Jesus' footsteps, because that's exactly what it is.. Well, except, our flesh gets in the way of so many opportunities of sharing God's Kingdom with His people.
