The Journey started with the team climbing Mount Sinai. As we followed the path of those in the bible we think and reflect on the things the people have experienced in those times. The journey to the top made you wonder where did God truly talk to Moses and where did he see God. We had the privilege to sleep one night on the top of the mountain and had some time to reflect on the words we read in the bible during the time Moses spend there. As we sat in the silence surrounded with the beauty only God could create we marveled at the silence and tranquility of the place. We also went to the top to see the sunset and had some time of silence just to experience God in His fullness. What an awesome experience. After the mountain we made our way to Israel where we stayed in Jerusalem.
We had time to visit the entire place where Jesus was and the places he suffered the most. In this time we had to experience the culture and realize that there is a lot of conflict in this country. Keeping in mind both sides of the story I realized that God is so needed in this place. The Holy Land as some may call it. As I look around I see pain and sorrow where one brother is set against the other and violence is spreading even amongst the children. It saddened me when I truly realized that this whole place is founded on the ground where Jesus walk but it is all so dead. Everything has changed to idol worship and God is completely absent in these streets. The truth is to truly keep God alive we need to spend time with Him and work on our relationships with Him. Otherwise we will just build another shrine or idol declaring God was here at a time. We should constantly focus on founding our hearts and souls on God and delving deeper and deeper into Him. Our journey has taken us too many beautiful places and the photo's will show you everything we visited. I hope you feel part of our journey as you look through the photos. Our journey is taking a turn right now where we will be journeying to spend some solitary time with God. May we see you again and may God be with you The Lime Team
