No more Masks - Yolandi

During our time in Russia we were placed into different groups and one group stayed at the camp sites and the other group had the opportunity to go to orphanages.  I was privileged enough to be in the group that went to the orphanages.  At the first orphanage we visited we helped with some renovation work they were busy with.  During this time I noticed that they just wanted us to paint over old paint without scraping the old paint off.  While painting I just felt this sense that this happens so often in our own lives.  Sometimes the old...

Limers in Cairo & Dahub

Limers in Cairo & Dahub
Welcome to the lime teams journey to Egypt.  What an interesting and different culture we experienced here.  Our first couple of days was really cold and we thought that Egypt will be extremely hot.  We fist visited the beautiful place called Anafora.   This whole place was build around symbolic bible themes and how exciting and interesting everything was.  From the waters and the buildings they all had certain meanings.  It was a wonderful place just to spend in God's presence and see the beauty of the desert.                          These photo's show some of the beautiful places...

Repentance and Restoration

Repentance and Restoration
"Sanctıfy yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you." (Joshua.3:5)  While we were still in Israel the North Bound girls prayed together to ask God His will for our last days in Israel.  Most of us felt that we wanted to spend some time alone with God seperated from the noise of the outside world.  We talked about ideas of just entering the desert and spending time with God there but God had other plans.  We were so blessed by going back to Anafora to spend some...

The True Path Of Faith (Luke 10)

The True Path Of Faith (Luke 10)
Starting on this GCEX year I constantly heard about his idea of a Luke 10 journey.  I did not really understand what they were talking about.  Through time I realized that somewhere on our journey we will go out on a faith journey explained in Luke 10:1-12.  This journey would consist total dependance on God and His plan were to go, stay, eat etc.  We had to follow in God's path for 10 days and hold on to only one comfort and that was your faith in God. I would like to share this experience with you and...

The Foundation that will stand the test of fire

The Foundation that will stand the test of fire
" By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's...

City Of Promise

City Of Promise
"The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.  Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest" (Mat. 9:37-38) We serve a God that has so much love and mercy.  It is so clearly seen in the passage where He gives the servants the order to wait before they remove the harvest and the weads that was planted by the devil inside the fields (Mat. 13:24-31).  God gives the same chance for both to grow so that the good harvest will not be lost.  His mercy and love streches so far that...

Egypt Through my eyes

Egypt Through my eyes
The Nile    The Pyramids                      The first country, the first true journey.... I realized by entering the first country that the journey has finally started.  Breaking out of the habits and comfort zones would be hard but focusing on God and making Him my all will be crucial.  There was so much to learn about cultures and religious practices.  Where to start was on everyones mind.  Learning more about the Muslim beliefs and also how to include Jesus into our stories (ISA). Personally I found Egypt very tyring because there was always a lot of people around in...
