Hi Everyone!
At last the Hidden World 2012 journey has begun for me! I flew to Lima, Peru on 31 March 2012 and from there to Arequipa! We ministered to the people of Peru in the market places, on the street corners and the schools. We worked a lot with the awesome people from Gideons International, spreading the Gospel and giving out New Testaments to the people.
I enjoyed the time in the Andes mountains the most! We went back to basics by showering in cold water, eating A LOT of rice and sleeping in halls, the municipality and buses! The time was so blessed as a lot of people gave their hearts to the Lord.
The South African missionaries which we worked with really blessed my life, learning a lot from them how to evangelize on a personal level, as well as how to trust the Lord for all - giving up everything to come serve the people of Peru. I learnt that our lives doesn't need to be as complicated as we make it in our Western societies - the people of Peru are a lot more social and less individualistic. They are content with what they have and the Christians really love the Lord with all their hearts.
Next we are off to the Amazon! We fly to Iquitos bright and early tomorrow morning, and half of the team are off to Benjamin Constance - in Brazil's side of the Amazon.
Please pray for the protection of out team against sickness and diseases, and safety as we enter into the unknown. Also pray for our finances and that we serve the people we meet as the Lord has pre-planned it for us since the beginning of time!
