The other day, I started thinking about how sad it would be to come all the way to
Saturday, I bought a plane ticket to fly down to Port Elizabeth on Sunday night with Lana's brother Stefan, also a World Race 2006 member. Lana and Jacques were coming to pick up Stefan from the airport but would have no idea I was coming as well.
On the plane Stefan and I devised the surprise attack. See the P.E. airport is designed so that when you walk in to claim baggage those who are waiting to pick up passengers can see directly through the glass while you wait for your luggage. It could be tricky because we didn’t want Lana and Jacques to see me before I could walk out and hug them.
This is what we did: Stefan walked in ahead of me causing a diversion as he waved frantically. I followed wearing a hoody and walking in a pack of people unitl I got to where& nbsp;that they couldn’t see my face. After Stefan received his checked bag he walked out and greeted them, videoing the whole thing. A few seconds later I walked out. Lana and Jacques couldn’t believe it, and I also couldn’t believe God blessed me to see my good friends once again.
That night we spent time catching up, and the next day I got to go see both Lana’s and Jacques’ schools. They even took me on a game drive where we saw some zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, and much more. We ended the day at McDonald’s, since I had come all the way from
So last night I got back to Alabanza and met the entire 80 day group. Training had already commenced and will be through Wednesday. I’ve had so much fun getting to know my new South African friends. Thursday morning we will fly out to
