Abundance!

I have nothing

But you are my something.

I may have nothing to eat,

But at least I have feet to walk the street.

I am humbled you call my name,

May I love you and bring you fame.

I will give you all

Because you’re my life, purpose, and call.

Alhthough people call me poor

I have abundantly more.

So here my friend and come,

Eat what I have don’t leave some.

Wait don’t go take this to

Take my favourite things they’re just for you!

I have nothing,

But YOU are my something.

Although I may seem poor,

I have ABUNDANTLY more.

I caught a glimpse in Cameroon. A glimpse of the Father’s love for me in a whole new and beautiful way.

As we walked throught the door we were warmly greated by a mamma who had invited her whole family to come and see us and get prayer. She immediately brought us peanuts to snack on while she finished preparing the food. We sat and ate her meal, struggling immensely to get it down and drinking a lot of water to swallow it. A crunchy fish tasting food with a food that has a worm like texture on the side, was what we were eating. As we ate we were told, not only that this is a delicacy in Cameroon but that she has spend every cent she had to cook it for us. She had had no money the day before but prayed and asked Jesus to please provide so that she could give the best to her guests, us. She a widow with three children, gave us and Jesus everything she had.

Our last service in Cameroon was a goodbye service. As we danced and sang, sharing how blessed our time was we got blessed once again. The church gave us necklaces, bananas, and peanuts for us to remember the flavour of Cameroon. They gave us words of encouragement and blessing and prayer for us. As we left love and tears were pouring.

There is so much more... A mamma gave up her house for us to stay in and would come every meal and cook for us, and as Christine, Howard, and myself went and ministered in a village another mamma did the same. We were given beautiful jewelry by another and every house we entered they fead us the best that they had.

We really don’t know what it means to give up everything to follow Jesus. We don’t know what it means to lay down all that we have and give it all away( even to the point of risking the health of your own family)... I don’t know what it means, I admit. If we don’t understand how to lay down and give up everything then we must not also understand the Father’s love or fully trust who He is.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,” The Father not only loves us but loves us in abundance. I am overwhelmed by the abundance of love that God longs to pour out over and in my life.

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!(Matthew 7)”

I was given so much in Cameroon without even trying. Sometimes I would even just think something and it would come, for instance I thought... it would be nice to have bananas in the morning... and bananas came or... I would like to get some jewelry from Cameroon... and it came. I just thought things and they were brought... the Father loves me and knows my thoughts! I didn’t try to get something I just was. Not only have I seen a glimpse of what it means to give all away, I have seen a glimpse of how my Father wants me to know his love in abundance. He enjoys giving good gifts to me and wants to because he loves me. Wow how he wants to love me and you abundantly and for us to know that love. This is only a very small glimpse of what has happened in Cameroon.

We have now already left the beautiful land of Cameroon... travelled 24hours to Gabon and flown to Uganda. As we finished our time in Cameroon we ended our time having visited 10 families, travelling to a village called Akonolinga where we each preached (in the dark under candlelight cause of electricity) and ministered, went to a house church, and ministered in the youth, children, and womens ministries, we even talked on the radio twice. God healed several people but the biggest testimony was seeing the church receive all that we brought and imparted to them, and then seeing them take a hold of it and use it.

The word for Cameroon for me is ABUNDANCE! May you know God’s love in abundance today and may you be able to receive from your Father, who wants to give you good gifts. Be blessed!!!

Wow Thandie - this is such a witness of how God used you as a team to be HIS hand and feet and also of how His children are waiting in anticipation for fellow believers to be obedient and just BE ... Thank you for sharing your heart about Cameroon. May the new country that you entered now, also be a blessing to you and your team!

IT is a good reminder to be thankful for all God has given us and to make sure we are sharing what we have with others! It is wonderful to see how God is using you all. We each must make every day count for Him. Looking forward to seeing what He has in store for you in Uganda! I am praying for you and the teams daily.
