The Police have been watching us very closely since the day we arrived in Mainland China...

They check our passports everywhere we go.  Before we climb on a train, at the internet caf閽s and the moment we arrive in a new town.  They keep on saying it抯 for our protection.  In small towns it抯 the worst!

At some places they send police 搖ndercover?in casual wear, to the same hotel抯 we stay at, to watch our every move.  Luckily they are very friendly and some wanted to learn more about our culture.  At one stage it really got to me.   I was so irritated with them and got so frustrated when they follow us every where we go.  All we could think about was how to get rid of them.

Because we spend so much time with them, we started building relationships and they started to enjoy our company.   I then suddenly realized, maybe this is exactly what God had planned for us.  To serve the policemen.  Instead of taking up every opportunity for God, we complained and got frustrated with the circumstances.

This was a good reminder to me, that our plans, no matter how good and productive they may seem, is not always God抯 plans.
