Our time spent in India

Our time spent in India
When I think of India, I think of poverty, a sense of hopelessness and a nation in desperate need of a savior.   These where some of the things I firs noticed when I entered the country.  That was all I saw until we arrived at the orphanage.   The children welcomed us with warm smiles and lots of love!  We staid with them for 2 weeks, giving and receiving love while painting their school. I was amazed at the amount of faith the children had and how they didn’t let their circumstance hinder their relationship with Christ.  I got a glimpse...

Snowy China

China isn抰 what we expected it would be.   The dirtiness came as a shock to us. Because it抯 winter it抯 also very colorless, brown and grey.  Maybe that is how God intended it.  It抯 easy to love a place that抯 beautiful.  It抯 more challenging to grow to love it, when it抯 not what we expected it to be.  Even so, the feelings that develop are lasting one抯.

One of the highlights of China...

Many body parts, one body

Many body parts, one body
The blue team has been scattered over Malaysia and Thailand this month.  Some who went to Thailand gave English at a University.  Others help to build some houses and the rest who staid at Malaysia are helping at a school for underprivileged children with odd jobs and teaching. 1 Corinthians 12:12-14 For just as the body is a unit and yet has many parts, and all the parts, though many, form only one body, so it is with Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed one. For by one Holy Spirit we were all, whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free, baptized,...

Our time in Malaysia

Our time in Malaysia
Malaysia has been very interesting, hot and beautiful.  We started out with a bang when we got our challenge in KL.  Had the privilege to spend 2 days at a beautiful beach, and are currently working at a school for underprivileged children. We met up with a few interesting people along the way.  Some was entertaining and gave us a good laugh and some blessed us with more than we could ask for.  We even met up with people from SA. Our time has almost come and gone for Malaysia and I can’t wait to see what India has in store...

There are things I will miss from China and things I am glad to never experience again….

China has been very challenging, exciting, awesome and sad.  We spent a little more than a month in this country but it feels like a week.  I can’t believe we are on our way out again.

The Police have been watching us very closely since the day we arrived in Mainland China...

They check our passports everywhere we go.  Before we climb on a train, at the internet caf閽s and the moment we arrive in a new town.  They keep on saying it抯 for our protection.  In small towns it抯 the worst! At some places they send police 搖ndercover?in casual wear, to the same hotel抯 we stay at, to watch our every move.  Luckily they are very friendly and some wanted to learn more about our culture.  At one stage it really got to me.   I was so irritated with them and got so frustrated when they follow us every where we...
