Global Challenge Missions Blog Archive: These are real blogs, from real people, bringing real change...

First journey in Kenya; A good test to apply what we learned during training !

We just finished our first trip into the Nations... It was an interesting journey because of, for example the Kenyan buses, (Matatu) and all the people who want to sale you stuff all the time because you're a" Mzungu" (white person), the time we had to work with the kids at school, the prayer room we started, etc...

But I want to focus my first blog on something different... I think the best challenge I had, was to try to apply what we learned during training into my daily life of team-member from Hidden World... Its a big challenge to be in a communal living with 15 persons, but there is a lot of lessons that I can take out of it; when you're with a big group like that, you cannot do always what you want... But its a good preparation for life, because you also can't make always what you want ! We also have to learn to give space to every one to express our spiritual giftings... Some of us will be equiped with the gift of mercy, some of us have the gift of leadership, other are gifted in prayers, etc... We/I have to be sensitive to everyone, and always act WITH LOVE in every situation.

Personnaly, I think I'm someone who love to fix problems. But before This journey, most of the problem I had to fix was technical problems, not relational problem. And of course, when you try to fix a relationnal problem, you need to do it with sensitivity, you have to use the right words, otherwise you might hurt other people's feellings. And that's a big part of me that I want to improve... But luckely, we are all full of forgiveness for each other as the Lord ask us to be, and it really help for the sake of growing all together.

Tomorrow, we'll leave the African continent to experiment South-America for the rest of this year. Pur first country will be Brazil, thank you to keep us in your prayer;

Thank you to pray for unity and understanding in our group, thank you to pray as well that God will always be the focus point of our journey, that we'll all seek first his Will, and all the rest will come after !

I arrive at the end of my first blogging experience, I hope most of you will understand what I try to explain, I apologize for all the english-mistakes I'm doing, I'm also still in the process of learning English, knowing that French is my Mother-language...

Good-bye everyone, may the Lord bless you.
