This has been two very interesting weeks! But Awesome!
We've been fixing a little (over 700 junior children) rural school 2km out side of JBay. Our first job was strapping on rubber gloves and digging sewerage out of blocked toilets (I say we strapped on the gloves, cause there's no ways you want that glove to come off!) Hens the title of my blog- I've done many grose things but this one was by far the worst! I didn't include a photo 'cause I want you to be able to enjoy your supper tonight:)
Our team then got assigned the playground-
The playground consisted mostly of garbage and rocks- so there wasn't much playing involved for us - just sore hands afterwards . Although, I did get to drill the holes for the gungle-jym! Which was super cool! So I'm not complaining:) And what are blisters compared to the nails that pearsed Jesus' hands...
It was also Cool to see how God has been providing for this project- we didn't really have funds for it when we started- and there's lots more needed before we're done here- but I know God is faithful! (Below: our platform)
Alive like never before!
I cannot keep myself from singing. Every day there is a new miracle- Stories of how God's changed peoples lives, .( I think I'll have to write a book of all the special stories- this blog is too short.) testimonies of His provision, His protection, His Blessing. God's constantly searching for simple vessels like you and me through who He desires to do great things. My only regret is; why has it taken me so long to get to this place - how many miracles have I missed out on- have others missed out on- because I was too wrapped up in my own little world and my own issues. People, All of creation is waiting...SONS OF GOD ARISE!
(Above: One of the tasks of a challange was building a sand castle- this was after we spent several HOURS digging and searching in the sand for a can of Coca-Cola that had been burried) P.S. We have the coolest team!
