Unexpected fellowship

What a blessed day here in Phuket.  We started with quiet time in the garden close to Tobi’s house.  Through scripture and the movie “Time Changer” that we watched last night, God showed us that we have become so used to sin around us, that we do not even recognize it anymore.  Respect for elders, respect for women and worst of all, respect for God has gone out the door.  Everything is okay these days, not so bad.  If it is “not so bad”, isn’t it still bad?  Spiritual food… check.  Cornflakes… check.  We were off to the shopping centre for one last time so that some members could buy the electronics that they wanted seeing that it is so much cheaper here in Thailand.  Some ended up in a sports outlet resembling a Sportman’s Warehouse where we hit a couple of golf balls and sat in those massage chairs.  That was a huge treat!

Head massage!

Back at home we looked at some photos of Mali’s accident.  It has been two years now and the doctors have done a great job saving her foot, but she is still having a lot of trouble walking and moving around.  Please pray for her healing and for God to bless them with the necessary funds to get the surgery she needs.

We also watched interviews with Nick Vujicic (spelling?) and the former lead guitarist of the metal band Korn.  Can’t remember his name.  They are both Christians and they just share how they came to the Lord and what they had to sacrifice to be a child of the Lord.  Very inspirational.

Late afternoon saw us getting visitors.  Lauren, a lady who has ties with Global Challenge and who travelled with last year’s Africa team for a while, and uncle Joe and auntie Joann joined us for a bit of worship and sharing from the Word and just hearing God’s voice.  It was great to hear their stories and the testimonies they had to encourage us with.

After the worship, we ate a splendid meal of pork, chicken and a prawn/veggie dish.  Very yummy, tasted like crayfish.  I must say, Mali can cook.

Our marvelous supper.

It was great hearing God speaking to us today and knowing that He is with us all the way.  I hope that you are following our blogs all the way.  Only 4 more days of the blog challenge to go, so keep an eye out for them.  Also do not forget to pledge, it is never too late.  Just click here.

God bless
