Beautiful Suriname...

Beautiful Suriname...
Crossing the Guyanese border with a ferry into the Dutch speaking country of Suriname... Not wanting to rest our eyes, when there is so much to see... Wooden houses build on stilts, coloured flags every where, all sorts of new fruits to try while seeing so many warm smiling faces..   After settling in, Pastor Moestafa came to greet us with a big smile. As one of the teachers at the mission school we could really learn a lot from him, for he has such a passion when he starts talking about God and even tears up when he explains...

Exciting week in Atatiaia...

Exciting week in Atatiaia...
Atatiaia After arriving in Sau Paulo the big team split up into two groups, as you all know the green team stayed behind in Sau Paulo while the Yellow team went on to Atatiaia.  Picture an orange and yellow painted house in a nature reserve on a mountain with an amazing view of the valley below, capouchen monkeys swinging around in trees that towers over the house and hummingbirds swiftly flying past not afraid to sit on your finger to drink from the sweetend water on the porch railing. Challenge accepted...!

Well its been quite some time since i wrote, but only because it is so difficult to put my experience into words.. Over the past 5 months we have been traveling in brazil, guyana, suriname, jamaica, cuba, panama and now colombia. It has been an incredible journey so far with many, many, many challenges. God has really gotten to the bottom of our hearts challenging our way of thinking, of doing, how we make our decisions and coming to that place where you have nothing else to depend on than Him( which is the most scariest area i have journeyed...
