Belize, Beliçe Belice, Beliiiiiiiiiiiiiize

During the month of July we spent the majority of our time in Belize.  We ministered in two towns namely; San Ignacio and San Pedro and experienced two different types of ministries and served the people in different ways. San Ignacio • Evangelizing in a rural town. • Teaching and preaching at a local church´s annual harvest festival. • Shows on the radio for children to listen to about the Bible. • Teaching children from the community dances and dramas   San Pedro • Praying for the team. • Street evangelism • Dug the foundation for a new church. • Teach and preach at the local church.

Dig a little deeper

Digs a little deeper

As we stepped out of the air-conditioned Panamanian airport, we were embraced with the humid, wet and tropical climate of Central America.  Even though I grew up in Durban, which is known for its hot, humid summers, this was something completely different. Other than the change in climate, there were also a change in our hearts and an excitement about the nations were burning in our spirits and we could not wait to see what the Lord had planned for us.

God is all we long for.......

God is all we long for.......
God is all we long for....   During the month of June we spent the majority of our time in Costa Rica and in Guatemala.  Because of the awesome climate, culture, landscape and people that exist in these regions it has become a huge tourist attraction point.   The Spirit sent us out one day to evangelise to the tourists in the streets of Panajachel – Guatemala.  Another team member and I decided to do a survey on the tourists and ask them a few questions concerning their travels.  We believed that this would help us understand way people travel...

Andes Mountain Adventures - April

Andes Mountain Adventures - April
The Andes Mountains – Peru The past month we spent the majority of our time in the Andes Mountains.  We met up with missionaries from South Africa and we traveled into the mountains with them and three other local evangelists.  The aim of the trip was to travel to smaller, unreached villages and to spread the good news of Jesus to the locals through preaching, the acting of dramas and distributing approximately 3000 New Testament bibles.  We did allot of walking/hiking, because most of these villages are very hard to reach due to the rain season and the lack of...

Wild Hogs

Wild Hogs
The Wild Hogs of Panajachelel   W e were the crash test dummies for pastor Benjamin’s trike ministry.  The ministry involved us going into the community and asking around for old, rusted unusable bicycles.  We would ultimately convert those bicycles into drifting machines and we would then race them down a crazy mountain pass.  This attracted a lot of attention and thus created the opportunity to share truth to the local people of Panajacehel.  It also encouraged the youth to get involved in extreme sports and to restore old junk into adrenaline masterpieces.  Building these drift-trikes involved us: Welding, grinding,...

The different student life...

Although the month has not yet passed, I would still like to share about the things that have happened so far. We spent most of the month in Brazil and more specifically, Rio de Janeiro.   Rio de Janeiro.  • We split in 3 groups and did a ´Luke 10´ journey. Read more Below • Stayed and ministered to a student socialist movement of the Federal University of Brazil. Before I start, let us look at the scripture. The Journey Starts - March 2012

The Journey Starts - March 2012
The Journey Starts On the 6 th of March our journey to the hidden worlds of South America started. Our first destination for ministry was in Santiago (Chile).  It was a very interesting and exiting situation, because the cheapest way to get to Chile was to fly to Brazil and then travel to Paraguay over land and then fly from Asuncion (Paraguay) to Santiago.  Due to unexpected expenses end expensive travel costs in Brazil, the team budget was unable to support our travel costs from the Brazilian border to the airport in Paraguay.  We only had one option left –...

What a month - May

What a month - May
What a month I will most probably always remember May 2012 as the month of massive growth; not only in me, but in the whole Hidden World Expedition team. We were on the move and we visited three ministry points in three different countries this month.  Each of these ministry points were unique and each  has their own amazing stories and testimonies, but for the sake of keeping this newsletter “reader friendly”, I will only share a broad overview of where we were, what we did and what God did.   The previous newsletter ended off with us traveling to Iquitos...
