Playing BASS in Thailand on a festival ....AWESOME!!

God has such an awesome way of rewarding you...for just nothing...just because He can and want to! I had the privilege to play bass, again, for the first time since January, on stage with awesome sound, lights and the wildest 5 string Guitar!!! But it is not about the bass, it is about God that blesses you! We have a drama, and that is available to you on the site! Check it out! There we showed the people in 5minutes what God wanted from the beginning of time, till Jesus came for us again! It is the same drama as Lifehouse...

Road rage: What is the big issue?

Road rage: What is the big issue?
While we have been travelling, I have noticed one thing about road rage. There is so little road rage in the last 3 countries that it is scary to think about the situation in SA. Let us compare shall we? China: There the driver with the biggest horn wins. They drive very reckless, but there are so little accidents that you can't believe that they keep on driving that way. There is also only one clinic available in the small towns, so they can't afford it to make accidents. Thus, they all stay calm during the times in which they...

Can you answer a kids question?

I was confronted with this question a few days ago, and at that time I could not. So now I want to share this challenge with you, as well as give you a taste of what it can be and must be like...give answers to people so simple that kids can understand...you ready?   Question from a small boy, after he was taught that Jesus lives in him and he lives in Jesus. Usually kids take it very literally when you give them answers, and this boy took it like that. He asked the teacher: if Jesus is in me,...

That is what challenged me a lot the last few days in NZ. I always knew I had to spread the gospel (in South Africa), but the “opportunity” just never showed up at my doorstep. I was the average “Christian” boy, living from Sunday...

How to build a bridge: 101

Crossing the riverDate:  9 February 2008
Place:  Masaiti Farming Institute
Activity: No class, but that means .... (bridges)

Building or working or doing something that requires fit muscles...
We were all building a bridge today.
We started by loading rocks into the tracter and trailler, but I still believe we loaded "boulders" into the trailler, and not rocks.
We then got to the place, unloaded the rocks, and started building the bridge.

Bosnia - where the physical and emotional realms meet...

Bosnia - where the physical and emotional realms meet...
We are almost at the end of our time, and wow, it is the year in which I have definitely learnt the most. We just came from Bosnia I Herzegovina where we were blessed. We had an awesome time with the pastor there, Pastor Mladen, and for once we didn’t call him Ben. In Bosnia we had the opportunity of praying for the church, where we could proclaim Christ as King, and pray blessings over it. We felt in the first week that we ought to pray against generational curses, and the first teaching the church had that week was...

India – Whoeps whaps it is gone!

It all happened so fast, because it felt like yesterday where we arrived in this warm country. One moment we were still in an air-conditioned airplane, but the next we were outside in the heat. What lied ahead was something which everyone was a little bit afraid of. We went to the Himalayas for a week to do a VERITAS course, just to escape the heat and the noise of Delhi. We arrived there and had the best time there, and God really treated us a lot! We saw the top point of the majestic mountains and it was the...

China will never be the same!

Camping out with Orange!

Written by: Paul du Plessis

CHINA - We decided a few days ago that we wanted to get away from this small village, because there is only so much that one can do here. And besides, a little fresh air never hurt anyone….yet. So we planned the trip for 4 days, while it was still warm. That was the ironic part, we thought that it would only get warmer and warmer, but yes, it didn’t happen like that.
