Doing Guatever God has for us ...in Panajachel, Guatemala

After an amazing and exhausting journey from Peru to Guatemala we have finally arrived! Here, we are based in a small touristy type town nestled in what appears to be mountains surrounding a lake. At a closer look, these mountains are actually volcanoes and the lake is just that is a huge crater from a previous standing volcano. Panajachel is a tranquil little town. Everywhere you look, the Guatemalan people are catering to the tourists that pass through. But if you look closely, you will see the people remaining true to their culture.

Where I am.

Where I am.
“Come, let us return to the Lord. For He has torn us, but He will heal us. He has wounded us, but He will bandage us. He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day that we will LIVE before Him. So Let us KNOW, let us press on to KNOW the LORD. HIS going forth is as certain as dawn; and He will come like rain, like spring rain watering the earth.” Hosea 6:1-3      The last couple months have been a journey. I left my home and country with anxiety and...

"Pot-luck" lunch Peruvian style

Today we returned to the village where God had done miracles and several community members had accepted the Lord the previous day. Again, we were allowed to speak to the school children. This time, we did a drama about how sins become burdens in your life and weigh you down and how Christ comes and wants to take our burdens from us. All we have to do is give them to Him and He will throw them as far as the east is from the west. After this drama, we again shared the gospel message and asked the kids if there were any of them that wanted give their life and their burdens to God. At this invitation, 18 kids came forward and we were able to pray for them! We then gave all the school children, teachers and some parents New Testaments. Again, people from the community came for prayer. Women were healed from body pains, sickness of their whole body and chest pain. More people came to know Christ and more people came from their homes for prayer!  Again, God was faithful and showed His glory to those people!

After praying for the people, we were invited to join them for lunch. But, it was not just any lunch,

It just keeps getting better... PERU!

It just keeps getting better... PERU!
This past week in Peru has been one of discipleship. It was not discipleship of Peruvian people, but rather Peruvian people discipling me.  During our time here so far, we have had the opportunity to go into various schools and universities and preform dramas that explain different aspects of the gospel. Following the drama, we then have been able to share the gospel story with the people! Then, we handed out hundreds and hundreds of Bibles to kids, professors and parents. It was a miracle we were able to get into these schools and speak to the people about Jesus...
