"Burn the ships" that is what explorer Cortez ordered his men to do upon arrival to the New found territory of Mexico. Without a fleet to return home upon, the leader and his men were forced to move forward and would no longer be tempted by retreat.
This year, I have learned to sing to the Lord a new song. I got on a plane headed to South Africa knowing that I was jumping off the high dive into the deep end. Fortunately, God is faithful to His Word. There were times when I thought, "I can’t do this" to which God replied to me “I am.”

In my mind, India has always been one of those legendary places that I have read about in books. As a child, I remember learning about Amy Carmichael who went to India and took in temple girls under her wing and taught them the Truth of the scriptures. Of course, I had read and heard countless stories about Mother Teresa and the work that she was selflessly doing in this land as well. India is all that I had read and heard about and more.
Beautiful faces, big smiles, chopsticks, sqatty potty experiences, hacking loogies, and amazing scenery…TIC (This is China.)
Cambodia. At first when you think of Cambodia, you would probably think of the horrific things that have happened here in the past. When I first realized that I was coming here, I thought the same thing. Now that I am here, I don’t think of that at all.
After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
