We are sad to tell you that one of our red team members, Johannes, will not be able to travel with us any further this year. Johannes returned to South Africa, and plan to work among the broken and hurt people of Johannesburg. He is also looking forward to spend some real quality time with his family, as it is the first time in 3 years that he has this opportunity. As a red team we release Johannes with all our blessings and pray with him that God will reveal Himself and that his heart for the lost in Johannesburg...

It's Thursday, February 28, 2008, 13:00. The eggplant, nshima, kapentas and beans are in the pots. Slowly but surely our traditional Zambian lunch is coming togeter. Sitting round the brazier, comparing the way food is prepared in different countries, and, even though Reynard is still "bang vir die vissies!" we're wondering whether those in the neighbouring huts will have anything more than a piece of corn/ maize to eat today.

Yesterday our team had the opportunity to go to the village school, where the principles office is about 2 x 2 m and in rain season the teachers and kids have to walk halfway through a river to get there! We got the Grade 4 and 5 kids and taught the kids the concept of “Look at Jesus” (Heb. 12:2) [while looking through their toilet roll lookers!], sang English and Bemba songs and Johannes lead us in some real fun games.
