The Real Deal!

The Real Deal!
My current location is surrounded by dormant volcanoes, a huge lake, taco's, Spanish guitarists and amigo's- Guatemala. For the past two weeks some of us have been building a house for a family. The family originally all stayed in a one room house and the problem comes in that the uncle and one of the daughters both have epilepsy. When the uncle has fits he becomes very violent and for this reason we built another house where he can stay. These past two weeks have been extremely tiring as we wake up early, walk about an hour to the building...

A blessing but depressing - N.Z vs S.A

A blessing but depressing - N.Z vs S.A
Wow, what a blessing I had few weeks ago when six lucky Global Challenges went to join a ministry called Stormco. We had a super road trip as we travelled from Auckland to Wellington. We passed an awesome place called Routarou, where the place constantly stinks because of the natural springs. However we were fortunate to meet up with friends who stay there and they treated us to some great Pizza and a place to stay for the evening. The next morning we went to an extraordinary place called the secret place. So unfortunately I can't tell you anything more. Jokes....

Operation- Storeroom Detoxification.

Greetings from New Zealand nice, cold, rainy weather in total contrast to nice hot, spicy India. Well it was a bit more than two weeks since the yellow team arrived at the Orphanage  in India and what a blessing we had there. After arriving we evaluated the place and saw where we would be of greatest help to the orphanage during our stay. So we decided to help clean the three storerooms. What we thought would be a quick one week job turned out to be mission impossible. Our first day as we started to clean the storeroom we spent most of...

There is a Lad here...Bread of Life!

Yummy Bread a Chinese Lady made for us, freshly baked!

china_055.jpgWow what an amazing experience I have had in the past few weeks here in China. From day to day just following after God's own heart and will is an adventure of a life time. Let me share some of these adventures; they include riding on a camel in the desert, flying over the yellow river on a cable,

Two Days in Kampundu Village- What an Experience!

blog_small.jpgWhat an absolute privilege it is to be here in Zambia. For the past few days we have been learning about missions and what it really means to be a missionary. Once we had done the theory side of it all, it was time to really put it all into practice. Each of our teams had the opportunity to go and stay in a local village for two days. The yellow team had the blessing of going to the Kampundu village.

Let it Rain, Let it Pour...

What a blessing, what a joy divine to be in Masaiti, Zambia.  Greetings from a soaking wet muddy and water flowing “Koti Ni Eden” farm of FCE.( Foundation for Cross-Cultural Education) Surrounded by bush, villages, termite moulds, the Kafulafuta river, no electricity, kapenters( small fish like cat food), huge ants, mosquito nets and let me not forget to mention continuous raindrops, it’s a privilege to be here. It’s currently rainfall season and when I say rainfall I mean it. Everything is bright green except the red muddy roads and buzzing mosquito’s. However in just a few months time the Zambians say the climate changes drastically here and it becomes very dry, brown and no more rain. Even though my washing takes about four days to dry if I’m lucky and it hasn’t rained wet again, it’s still great to be here!
