On the 1st of April 2012 06:00 am WYW received our first challenge and our deadline was the 3rd of April 13:00 pm... Our challenge wasn't for the faint-hearted, we had to travel from Panajachel, Guatemala to Cancun, Mexico.. Which is about 1400 km with very little food and water, we also and a very limited budget of 260Q (R264) per person.. We took 6 chicken-busses from Panajachel to the Mexican border and during that time we saw how amazing GOD's provision is. GOD really helped us during this tough time. After the border we took 2 taxi's to San Chirstobal where we slept in a bus/taxi rank..
We woke up the next morning and we had to have 300 Pestos per person (we only had 250 Pestos each) to get from San Chrisobal to Cancun. We prayed and we had a 'blikskud' session and after making 180 Pestos the bus driver made an exception and let us get on the bus.. We had no money left what so so ever but GOD gave us food and water.. After a very long, tough and tedious bus trip that lasted about 20 hours which wasn't the most fun trip.
We really prayed a lot just so that we can focus on the task at hand.. Some of us really struggled with the heat and the lack of personal space. But we finally made it in Cancun, the only problem was that we didn't know where our accomodation was and we walked for more than a hour and a half. But we made it, thank you LORD!! :)
Me in the freezer because of the heat :) This is the result of hunger...

Just heard some of you guys, on Radio Cayman with Sterling Dwayne Ebanks talk show host on Talk Today.
Be very careful hitchicking in Caymay. We have had 3 persons missing over the past year in this little island. many unsolved mysteries.
January 2011 - A 31 year old mother of 5, Ana Evans vanishing without a trace last seen walking towards town on her lunch break.
July 31, 2011 - 25 year old Jamaican Nurse, Kerran Baker working in Cayman vanishing without a trace from her home.
February 2012 over a month ago - a 31 yer old British citizen Nathan Clarke vanishing from Calico Jacks on the beach of 7 mile.
All without a trace, Police can never solve these crimes.
Young ladies and young men stay together, Everyone wants to hide the facts from tourists coming to this islands, money is more important than lives.
Be very prayerful, wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove. Perhaps its because you are travelling in twos or threes why you havn't been snatched as yet, as Nathan
went missing from the West Bay Road!
Be careful. I live in the US. It is scary what is happening in Cayman the island that was once a paradise. Trust me everyone is not that nice, there are rapists, kidnappers and apparently a serial killer out there that has not been caught by the authorities as yet the RCIP are not capable of solving hineous crimes.
God bless you.
I plead the blood of Jesus sover all of you in Jesus name.
So- this is the chicken-bus episode of which you spoke? lol...Schalk looks tired. Am so glad you made it to Canada Maggie
