Prayer is a waiting game

So many time in my life I had Asked myself, why? Why doesn’t I hear the voice of God, my Father or even Jesus my best friend?

The word “relationship” have a definition that really made me think 💭

Relationship- The state of being connected by blood.

‭‭Luke‬ ‭22:20‬
“After supper he took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you.”

How cool is this just to think about it. We are connected to God through Jesus Christ.
Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps.

Recently we have finished with a travel challenge and how awesome was this experience. I realized a few things that I knew before and I believed it but during this time it truly became REAL to me.

One morning the Lord put a few words of a song on my heart that goes like this: “no less God within the shadows.”
That same day we were hiking next to the road for hours and hours and I keep on asking God to just give us a lift NOW...

All that came to my mind in that instance is do I really pray to God because I need Him now to give me a ride or do I really want to know Him more and that the lift doesn’t even matter at all but just to see Him in this situation...

When I think of a relationship between a husband and his wife, the husband or the wife alone doesn’t do all the talking. And so our journey with God should be the same. Do we really give God a chance to speak to us or do we just want to keep on telling Him everything about ourselves?

When I just think about it, I have made it so cheap what Jesus did on the cross for us, He gave us the opportunity to live a Holy life and even to be the bride of the MOST High!

God just came and said to me it is time to give Him also a chance to speak and to listen to His unfailing promises. I realized that how much peace there is in waiting upon the Lord.
I mean how cool is it to start your quit time in silence...

It is such a simple concept, but do we really give God a chance to speak to us?
