The Bigger Picture

I can't! I can't leave it like that! I just simply can't! I NEED to finish what I started!

Not being able to finish the chiseling on the hand gave me a pain in the stomach!

I really wanted to finish it.

To see the end result.

I feel like a lot of times in our lives we are part of something where we are not able to see the end result. Feeling that what we did or are doing does not change anything or that it will have no effect on the society.

Well that is how I felt, feeling like everything I did will have no effect on the bigger picture. Just like not seeing the end result on the hand, I really felt that I had no impact on someone's life. That I didn't have an influence.

During our time in Anafora, which is located in Egypt, God just came and gave me a new perspective on how I should look at things. That we ARE part of the bigger picture. That everything that we do is necessary for the bigger picture to be complete, even if it is the smallest thing that you are busy with. It does not mean that if you don't see any progress, that there is none. You could be the person that maybe planted the idea of getting to know God in someone else's heart. Planting the idea that there is a God that loves and cares for them, by just loving them. And that idea has an effect on a person, you might not see it but it is there.

That is why we should never feel discouraged when we don't see the result that we are looking for. Because you might just have changed someone's life.
