What an honour it is to be writing to you from the Himalaya Mountains... YES... you read right... the Himalaya Mountains in northern India is where we find ourselves at this present time.... In a cozy village called Shimla, a stone throw away from Nepal and on the opposite mountain face as China, we wake up to misty, chilly air, thinner to what we are used to... With an entire almost city carved into the side of the mountain, we wonder how it all still stands...
We're staying in a hotel that has the most stupendous view of the surrounding mountain range is ideal to glace at the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the alleys below. No monkey to shy as these cheeky residents make themselves comfortable on any balcony no matter the height! The streets are tiny, ideal for' Smartcars', and are comprised of alleys and walkways almost directly above one another. The people are curious and often wary yet always up for making a quick "dollar". Shimla is refered to, by the locals, as not as full of nonsense as Delhi or Bombay and good for raising children and retiring...
All in all the predominantly Hindi community is quaint with definite western influence. The nearby China seems to have mad an impact on the architecture as well...
The Blue team seems to have little problem in appreciating the pictures of beauty and serenity JC has allowed us to view in this place... Hip Hip Hooray in the Himalyas we are to stay!!! :)
