Dare to share

New Zealand

I am truly convinced that the beauty of the world was cut into pieces and then God puzzled them together in the shape of an Island, New Zealand.

I watched a documentary of a helicopter flying over the South Island that revealed places and beauty that no man has set foot on.  "The South Island is a mountainous Island.  As far as the eye can reach nothing is to be seen but the summits of these rocky mountains.  These mountains seem to lie so close to each other the valleys between them fade in the eye of a human." Beauty that leaves you breathless!  Inspired by the experience I prayerfully realised there are untouched secrets and beauty in God that He wants to reveal to us.

I saw a glimpse of that beauty of God in the form of: families being restored, young and old people encouraged; young Korean children coming to faith; the proclamation of Christ's love and power on the radio and television and young people committing their lives and service to Jesus. This is just the beginning.

Col. 2:2-3 ...in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Many people have heard the gospel but many have drifted away creating their own safe idea of how life is without God.  They have enough of everything and lack nothing physically but yet they seek for fulfilment every day.  These people need the love of Jesus and we might be the only person they meet to experience His love.

I was encouraged to meet business people who commit their lives to share the love and truth of Jesus in the working place when they discuss work, plan constructions and debate about politics and life.  Daily they are challenged to walk and talk the way Jesus did even if it means they suffer persecution and accusations.

We had the wonderful privilege to share the Love of Jesus and testify about His work in the nations and in our lives on the Christian radio station, Radio Rhema.  Laurel McCulloch, the presenter of Pumpkin Patch, 14 years ago, is the presenter of the talk show and it was great to fellowship with her as we shared and laughed about our childhood heroes!  She has a passion for Jesus and shares it with the New Zealand people every day!

Like Paul, I want to write to my fellow friends and believers in New Zealand.  Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.  Gal. 5:6

Let us continue to pray:

  • For the believers to keep faith and boldly share the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
  • That the youth would choose and serve Jesus outside of the box pure pressure.
  • For the business people who live for Jesus in the working place.
  • For FAITH, perseverance and LOVE!  New Zealand need leaders and workers!!
