Receive "it"

-Ps 18: 1-2-

“I love you, LORD, my strength.

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my

rock, in whom I take  refuge;  my shield, and the horn of my

salvation, my high tower. “

Reading this remarkable Psalm I asked myself: “how much do you LOVE God?  How much do you understand loving God?

And then asking God how I can love him more I got a very simple answer.

“The more you obey Me the more you love Me.”

Living a live of obedience is the greatest way of declaring you love towards God.  Nothing can undermine obedience.  You do it or you don’t.

God wants to be my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, my refuge, my shield, my salvation, my high tower but if I don’t live in obedience towards Him I choose not to receive “it”.

God loved us first and I don’t have anything to boast in.  His love moves me to love Him more, but I have also a deep and sincere desire to love God like never before.  And that means to obey God more seriously.

To obey God is not a concept that brings condemnation or must have a negative influence on our walk with God.  Obeying is you way of loving God and isn’t that the thing that is going to impact the world the most.

So there I was standing in the church in Panajachel, Guatemala and really feeling the presence of God so powerfully I started shaking.  In that moment I realized how much God has in store for us, but we are not receiving “it”.  Why are we not receiving “it”...maybe we should ask ourselves “how much do I LOVE God how much do I obey God”.

The scary thing is that we do not have any excuses not walking in complete obedience.  Jesus nullified that on the cross when He died for us and won victory over anything that will hinder us from walking in obedience.

Jesus our greatest example was obedient to the point of death.  Why was He obedient to that extreme? Because every act He did was motivated by His LOVE for the Father.  Loving the Father was His highest priority.

Panajachel church is not scared to point the finger at that what is stealing from God’s children.  The enemy have no place in the presence of God and the enemy will flee if we submit to God and resist him.

This time here is definitely having a big impact in our lives and all the glory goes to God our Father who as so much in store for us.  I can’t wait for more.

We are privilege to be here and to serve the local church where we can.  I hope and pray our labour will bring glory to God.

I ask that you will pray for us and what we are doing here.  Thank you for everything!  We feel the power of your prayers and we appreciate the support you give us on whatever way it is.

May you love God more! Love is louder than anything else!!!
