Hi my name is Hendrik Roux

I am 18 years old and I am finishing with school at Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool

I started this year with the Question: What am I going to do with the rest of my life?

This was a Great battle for me. I didn’t know if I should go study or even what to study...

I didn’t know what to do with my life. I was reminded that I was trying to solve my own problems and not listening to God

My prayer to God was that He should lead my life and show me the path forward. I heard about Global challenge Expeditions through a friend and I wanted to see it for myself.

When I saw the videos of the 2010 Expedition, I knew this was for me 

I had to make a decision between the work your way or The Explore Africa

My parents wanted to send me to the Work your way, but that wasn’t Gods plan for me. My heart lies in Africa.

Mark 1:17 says “Come follow me” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” I believe that God has a plan for me as well as Africa and that next year will be a year of great groth and adventure.
