Sitting here in the Internet shop and knowing that we have to say good bye to Malaysia and the people we met is heart braking. We had such an awe sum time and it IS as if we are part of the family, especially Ben and his family.
Me and Johann broke away from the larger group to come help with some IT difficulties that the ministry in Malaysia was experiencing. We did from the most basic of carrying computers to setting up servers and building websites. I still don't think that we know what kind of difference this will make in the community.
Just a quick background on what the people here in Malaysia do or where we were part of. These people are mainly focused at finding funds to equip refugees from Vietnam to spread the word in Vietnam. You would ask but why don't they go to Vietnam and do it themselves, well if you are not from Vietnam you are not "welcome" in Vietnam. Even Asians that look like these people is not welcome. So what to do. These people found an ingenious way of getting the refugees that is sitting without work or even those people that the Malaysian government put in refugee camps to except the Lord and then go equip these people to spread the word in Vietnam. This is where our work is so invaluable, we setup the computers and the websites so these people have access to better resources to get equipped to spread the word better.
The stories that was told to us during this time was amazing. How people that was born again one day and made a difference the next day. The work these people is doing is just... well there just are no words for it. How can one even describe how humbly these people that the Lords word to these people. Amazing.
We are finish now with most of it and we tried to equip the people on this side to maintain the computers and to finish the last few thing that need to be done. We ran into the problem where we did not have enough space on the web server to save all the relevant pictures but we have people working on getting us more space.
Lastly we were joined by the rest of the team on Wednesday morning and we made the most of the day by finishing some shopping that needed to be done and all the other outstanding things. We are glad to see you all and yes we missed to terribly.
We will be flying out to China on Saturday and we know we will be making a difference to those people as well.
