We were priviledge enouth to visit the lovely people in the Transkei. At first we had to get there on our own from Jeffreys bay. This was the first official challenge we had and it was a lot of fun and a good way to learn more about our team which is the orange team. We were given R690 to get there which is about $120 for a 700km trip and we had to buy food and to various other tasks including hugging a pig and eating "run aways" which is boiled chicken feet. We started hicking to Humansdorp where we could catch a bus. With the help of a very friendly bus driver and tour operator we manage to get about half way before our money ran our. We started hitch hiking again and received some amaizing help from people that could help us in more than one way. Some people even orginized mini bus drivers to take us from places on their expence. We received donations at the correct time to pay for travel from places we just did not see any outcome. It was all so amaizing. We found local people at midnight which taught us xhosa dances which was also part of the challenge.
Finally when we arrived t the site we still needed to get the run aways but again at the right time we found a local the boiled some that evening.
We also spend some time at a local christian school to upgrade some of the buildings.
I have attached some photos of the trip.
We are at home for 4 days to finilize some visa applications before we continue with the training in Alibanza.
