Going back in time

Going to Nepal I felt like I was taken back to the Bible time. When you read about golden idols that people made and worshipped you don't really comprehend the intensity of it untill you see it for youself.

Here I found 100 meter tall Hindu god statues on mountain tops covering Nepal with a dark atmosphere. The people of Nepal is 80% hindu. And in the Hindu culture they literally have millions of gods. My heart broke for these people worshipping their dead gods, but the good news is that the Lord is moving in Nepal. We connected with a church in Kathmandu which is on fire for the true living God. Through their worship and joy they are spreading the gospel in Nepal. We did a lot of house visits were we worshipped, shared stories and prayed as a community in Christ. The Lord really used our team to bring healing, to prophecy, encourage and lead people to Christ.

I realized what my lesson for Nepal was when we were sitting at the airport almost ready to fly out. I was looking at all the Hindu's with the red dot on their foreheads, symbolizing that they prayed today and a spiritual connection to their gods. I almost became boastful of what the Lord did through me in Nepal.

But I was corrected almost immediately. The Lord told me that the only difference between me and these non-Christian are that I have seen the light and accepted it fully and it was only by His Grace that this could occur. All that I am and all that I have done with Him in me, was only to bring Glory to the One true living God.

I am not here to judge or be boastful. I am here to bring the light and let His Glory shine to all that He gives eyes to see and ears to hear.
