Treasures of the heart.

me_and_elbe_having_fun.jpgThailand - 26 May 2008

We spent the last 3 weeks in Thailand and what a blessed time we had. Our team was in Phuket for 5 days and formed part of an intersession ministry. We joined the red team and spent 2 weeks with Pastor Wasan near Pang Nha, north of Phuket. We build houses for less-privileged people, had a kids-program...

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven where moth and rust do not destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”  Matthew 6:19-21me_and_nan.jpg

The Lord has been talking a lot to me regarding this scripture during the past month. I have this urgency in me to fully seek the Lord in everything I do, to surrender completely and to grow into Gods character every day. Everything I do and say should be Christ-like and within Gods will. There should not be one inch or area where I compromise and settle for second best, but all of me, everyday should be in-line with God’s character and way of being.

“ I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”
Galatians 2:20

We spent the last 3 weeks in Thailand and what a blessed time we had. Our team was in Phuket for 5 days and formed part of an intersession ministry. We joined the red team and spend 2 weeks with Pastor Wasan near Pang Nha, north of Phuket. We build houses for less-privileged people, had a kids-program with the children of the community and served wherever the need was.  The Lord blessed our time here, we spend quality time in the word and as a team together. We learned a lot and God truly shaped us in so many ways. I am very excited in spending more time with Him during debrief and being transformed more and more into His image. One thing that God worked in all of us was “Living a Holy/Christ-like life” . Not to compromise and desire wordly things but to seek Him in everything and that He is the ultimate one that can fulfill us.

painting_rooftiles.jpgWe will depart from Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia, on 26 May for India where we will spend the next month. We plan on visiting a few Children homes in Dwarka and Kota and serving wherever the Lord needs us.

Please pray for our time in India. May we truly seek Gods perfect will and serve unconditionally without expecting anything in return. May we see the people as God see them and love them as God loves them.

My prayer for you all:

“… that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day if Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ- to the glory and praise of God.” Philippians 1:9-11

Blessings and love
Marizy
