Our time in beautiful Zanzibar ended, and we were excited to merge with Hidden World and WYW again. After spending a very blessed night in Dar es Salaam, we got on the 06:00 bus to Kenya! "Some call it Africa, I call it home" , or so they say. My entire view of Africa changed. I am South-African, so Africa, beautiful Africa, had an immense impact on my heart and the way I saw things. After 13 hours of travelling, we got a taxi that took us to Kilifi. My seats window was broken, so I had the privilege to experience crazy African driving skills first hand. I must say, the neon lights on the ceiling made it way more intense.

Distant relatives backpacker's was a whirlwind of spiritual uneasiness and something I have never experienced. But in it all, I got some of the coolest revelations from God. "It doesn't matter where you are, God stays the same" , became a reality.  I learned the meaning of "fullness" and that God wants us to take hold of what He has for us, and BECAUSE we love Him, He makes everything work together for our good.

Time spent telling adventure stories, playing volleybal, and late afternoon swims in the ocean, really made it feel like home, in spite of spiritual uneasiness.  Henri even gave us early morning pilates classes! We ate a lot of chapatti and beans, drank a lot of Coca-Cola and got to spend time wit our fellow team  mates!!

Saying goodbye to our Hidden world friends was not easy, but we got to spend a few more days with WYW at Anja and Joys house in Nairobi, and even got to have one last BRAAI!!! Time spent in the house on the hill in Nairobi was magical. I got to see so much of Jesus there. Geneke and I invented a new way of playing ping-pong, we danced in the kitchen, had lots of tea, and we were blessed to listen to Joy and Maxine recite The Cronicles of Narinia to us. Joy and Anjas house also became an African hair salon, and I had the privelage to cut a few of the guys hair with my arts and crafts scissors. [Imagine that].

All in all, when I think about our time in Kenya, I get warm and fuzzy feelings on the inside.,
