China, the promised land

As I think back to GCEX 2010 and being a member of Northbound, time has gone by so quickly. It can be hard to believe that we went to so many different countries and met the most amazing people. It seems so surreal, a distant memory, like a distant shore for a sailor who hasn't spotted land for miles. Oh, but it was very real, very real indeed!

The country that was ever so on my heart during the year was China. We were only to reach her in July/August. I thought of this nation most of the time if not all of the time, I could already taste and smell China even before we left for our first country. Reminiscing on this mysterious land when I first stepped foot on her in 2008. I couldn't help but wonder what Father had install for me when reaching her again in 2010. He surprised me in so many ways and really churned my heart even more for our persecuted brothers and sisters. God loves the nation of China and that love of His for this nation is pounding at my heart, like the sound of the drum of war pounding for the warriors of ancient.  I love China....

The year with Global did indeed shape and challenge me beyond measure for such a time as this, as He confirmed time and time again about going to China long term. It was like hearing Him say “The time of waiting is over, now go.” So this is where I currently find myself. All ready and set, in a life of Christ being full of adventure and China being the next big adventure!! :) :)

I will be departing beloved South Africa on the 27^th of April. With a lot of expectation and enthusiasm as He leads and guides me to the places and people He wants me to see and meet. Behold, I go now to the promised land:)
