Faith ??? ( Part 1 )
What is faith? What do they mean when they say : " Take a leap of faith "?
Why does it state in Hebrews 11 : " Without faith it is impossible to please Him"?
It took me a year to fully grasp what the meaning of faith is. I will share a bit of this journey in Part 2.
What I will share with you today is not unknown knowledge. It is more like forgotten knowledge.
The world we are growing up in sort of despises it; laughs it off in a way. They think it is stupid and childlike.
They are not wrong in saying it is childlike:
Having faith that everything will be okay. Trusting that God will take care of you. Believing in the impossible. Feeling invincible and not fearing anything or anyone. Trusting that God will protect you.
Isn't this what a child feels like towards their parents too?
They do not worry about food or protection. They do not think about money or reality. No, they dream big and believe in the Impossible.
Because they know that their mommy and daddy will take care of them.
That is the type of relationship God wants with us. He wants to be our Daddy! He wants us to trust in Him. He wants us to believe He will protect us. He wants to take care of us.
But these days its not, " Daddy we need You, Daddy provide for our needs" anymore. No, no it is more like, "Bank we need money." or "I do not need anyone, I know how to get myself out of this dark hole".
We tend to trust more in ourselves and our own understanding than on God.
If something is physically impossible, we tend to just walk away and forget that we have a powerful GOD.
If you never let God be God in your life, how would you ever know how powerful He is ?
That is where the saying " Take a leap of faith " comes in.
Think about this for one moment... If you are never in a situation where something is impossible, how would God be able to do the impossible?
Do something impossible, where God is the only option. Pray for a blind man to see. If God says open a business, but you do not have the money, just do it.
I know a school that is being build by faith and everyday a brick gets added to the school. There is no money to build the school, but they are still building.
Friends it is time to write your own testimonies about God's faithfulness.
He is our Daddy. He will never forsake you.
Trust in Him, be a child and forget the reality for once.
He is the God of gods... The Lord of lords!
