Challenged by an old man - Laos

The two weeks in Laos was a bit different than what I expected. The day when we entered Laos, an old man asked me the date, while we were all filling in our forms to cross the boarder. Little did I know that this old man is about to spend the following two weeks with us...

A week before we came to Laos, he wanted to go through the gates, but they didn't let him in, so he waited patiently on God to tell him when to go again. So he chose the same day and time as us. God told him that he will meet a group of people with who he will stay...thats us, Northbound !
He is a missionary for 25 years now and has been to 72 countries to spread the gospel and telling people the purpose of their lifes, how awesome is that !
He stayed, ate, prayed and worshiped with us for two weeks but also challenged us. Once again he made me realized how little my faith can be sometimes. For example ; We had a youth camp and they announced that there is a medical kit for incase someone doesn't feel well, BUT THEN the old man said aloud :" YOU ONLY NEED THAT IF YOUR FAITH IS WEAK !"
How crazy. Actually we don't need medical stuff in our lifes,  if your faith is strong enough and you trust that the devil has NO authority over your body, then God will always protect you from illness, because He made you and He loves you !
One night we did some treasure hunting (waiting on the Holy Spirit to show you people to pray for) So what happened is; we were standing under a big statue of the king of Laos, where the people worship and bring offerings to this statue, when we met a young woman and her mother, strong buddhist. But once again God came and show how miraculous He is, cause that night we prayed for them and they gave their lifes to Jesus, 2 new member to our family in Christ, whoOopy !
We met amazing people and ate a lot of yummy food, but best of all...we made good friends ! People who really inspired me and people who snuggled into my heart.
I love Laos *
